Don't Nod: the creators of Life is Strange tease their 6 new games

Don't Nod gets a new look and a new logo. To celebrate these changes, the French studio gives us some clues as to the nature of its next six games.

To celebrate its fourteenth anniversary and expansion, the French studio is changing its visual identity to "better reflect what DON'T NOD is today as a studio." »

From Dontnod to Don't Nod

Don't write Dontnod anymore but Don't Nod. To support the fundamental changes that the studio has experienced in recent years, the creators of Life is Strange and Vampyr are changing with a new logo that will help the French company to convey the heart of its identity.

We wanted to reintroduce the apostrophe and the space between DON'T and NOD, in order to give full meaning to the name. DON'T NOD is made up of two words that represent, as a company and in the games we create, our tendency to be unafraid to go against the grain and break the codes, also illustrated by the D broken and the N visible inside

- Oskar Guilbert, CEO of Don't Nod

Hints on 6 new games

The French studio has made many changes recently. First with its expansion into game publishing, but also with the opening of a new studio in Montreal where the team behind Life is Strange operates, which is now working on a new license. The company now boasts 320 talents in France and Canada, who share a range of six internal projects.

And to celebrate this new identity, Don't Nod has just teased its 6 new games by featuring this brand new logo in settings that give some clues about their nature. At first glance, the studio has in the boxes a science fiction game that would take place in space, another that smells good of the beginning of the 90's with a cassette as a teaser, a game could be adventure oriented if we believe the rock to which a rope is attached.

A more mysterious project depicts a misty forest surrounded by runes, the other a lake with a starry sky and the last illustrates a circuit with several branches. Inevitably some see a certain Remember Me 2 in it, which Capcom has completely abandoned. As for the seventh, in the snow, it illustrates Gerda: A Flame in Winter , the first published game from Dontnod which will be released on September 1st on consoles and PC. Maybe we will have news for one of his 6 projects during the Summer Game Fest ? Given the period, all hope is allowed.
