After an initial release in Japan in May 2021, Rune Factory 5 is coming to us on March 25, 2022. Developed by Marvelous and published by Xseed Games, the game is slated for Switch.
In this mix of action-RPG and life simulation, you will play a hero who has lost his memory who lands in the small town of Rigbarth. You will find your place as a sentinel of the SEED, a group responsible for guaranteeing the peace of the village. You will be called upon to protect the city by capturing problem monsters. You will also be able to join forces with some of the inhabitants to explore the world and unlock combined attacks during battles.
In parallel with the fighting, other much quieter activities such as fishing, agriculture or cooking will punctuate your daily life. Your mission will therefore consist in addition to protecting the small town, to make it prosper. Finally, relations with the inhabitants will be important since they should allow you to make new friendships but also to find your other half among a slew of single people.
