After having already postponed the arrival of its new title to refine it, GSC Game World is forced to start again. This time the cause is not a virus or bugs to fix, but a much worse situation. Ukraine has suffered from Russian armed offensives for more than a week, and many civilians are forced to flee. Developers and their families are no exception, with their survival taking priority. For this reason, the release date of STALKER 2 must be postponed, pending the end of the conflict.
With a video briefly showcasing the latest footage shot for STALKER 2 , GSC Game World is doing much more than pushing back the game's release. It's a reminder that whoever you are, nothing is more important than your own life. It will never be more important to put anything first, and no one is breaking this rule. The developers are primarily focused on their survival and that of their family. STALKER 2 is therefore on a forced hiatus for an indefinite period. Work cannot resume until this conflict is over. The studio also invites people who can to support Ukraine in this conflict, by making donations for the organization "COME BACK ALIVE" .
