Durante los eventos del Volumen 7 de RWBY, los jugadores tomarán el control del Equipo RWBY y cambiarán entre ellos sobre la marcha en acción individual o multijugador (local u online) mientras usan sus armas y semblantes característicos para detener una nueva y misteriosa amenaza en esta aventura 2D de desplazamiento lateral.A medida que los jugadores exploran Atlas, Mantle y numerosos entornos circundantes, se enfrentarán a las Criaturas de Grimm y a otros enemigos sacados directamente de la serie, así como a amenazas nunca vistas.
