The fifth title in the maimai series of SEGA's rhythm arcade releases.
New in this release:
- The three maiberry unlocks from PiNK PLUS are now available by default.
- New in-game currency; maiZENNY, replacing maiberry.
- FEVER judgement added, which counts judgements other than MISS when playing with two or more people.
- If everyone who played gets a FULL COMBO, MAX FEVER will be displayed.
- MASTER and Re:MASTER charts are now unlocked at the same time by clearing an EXPERT chart with a S grade or higher.
- You can now retake videos of gameplay, though your old upload will be deleted.
- Enkaijou (宴会場) folder added. It can be accessed if the player has a rating of 7.00 or more prior to the start of a game, and scored Rank S or higher on all tracks before the final track. These are special charts that can only be played on the final track.
- Enkaijou charts do not count towards total high score or Rating.
- Challenge Track rules again changed; please see its page for more details.
- Songs are now unlocked only two weeks after their debut, as opposed to four like before.
- Event Course now contains hidden songs.
- Notations of TAP/HOLD/SLIDE/BREAK return to being capitalized on the grade/performance screens for the first time since maimai PLUS.
- Difficulty scale expanded to 13.
- First game since the introduction of Re:MASTER charts in ORANGE PLUS where no songs got any.
