Em Castlevania X: Rondo de Sangue, o jogador assume o controlo de Richter, o derradeiro Vampiro Assassino, guiando-o através de um total de nove fases cheias de armadilhas traiçoeiras e segredos escondidos. Usando o seu lendário chicote - passado de gerações de Belmonts - e uma poderosa selecção de ataques de Item Crash, cabe-lhe a si destruir Drácula e a sua horda maléfica. Além disso, resgatar Maria em algum momento do jogo permite-lhe usá-la como personagem jogável para ainda mais diversão vampírica.
